Ordering

To place an order you can buy online, or to discuss your ideas, contact us by email, or by telephone 07923538698

If you can’t find exactly what you are looking for on our site, or you have found something you like, but want different dimensions, then please contact us to discuss your ideas. We respond to all our emails on a daily basis, including weekends.

Payment

Payments can be paid either by debit or credit card or by bank transfer.

All our furniture is handmade to order.

Delivery

We deliver to the UK mainland and isles.

If it is not possible for us to deliver to you personally we will arrange for one of a number of couriers we have available to us to do this for us. If you would like a quote for a courier delivery, please email us the first line of your address and your postcode, together with the name of the piece of furniture you are interested in, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We will check your furniture before delivery to ensure it reaches you in excellent condition.

Please be aware that if you wish to amend your order that it may result in a delay.

We cannot accept responsibility for goods that are delayed due to circumstances that are beyond our control (transport strikes, bad weather etc). This is very rare but can happen occasionally and can interfere with our delivery schedule. We would appreciate it if you would inform us of any problems with vehicle access or parking to ensure smooth delivery of your furniture.

Measuring Up

It is very important that you measure carefully where your furniture is going to go. Narrow doorways, staircases and tight corners can make it impossible to deliver your order.

Guarantees and Refunds

Oak is a natural material and may display various marks and characteristics such as knots, cracks, grain variation, colour variations etc. These are natural, and deemed by many, desirable features which demonstrate the individuality of the wood and will not affect the durability or performance of the furniture in any way. As each tree is unique, natural markings vary from tree to tree resulting in some timbers with no markings and others with some. Handmade Oak furniture is unique, as such; colouring and grain patterns will vary from piece to piece, with no two pieces being exactly the same. Solid oak furniture is affected by heat and moisture. A hot dry environment will cause oak to shrink, whilst a damp environment will cause it to swell. Knots, cracks, drying shakes and movement are inherent characteristics of natural timber and are not considered a fault in the wood or our workmanship. We cannot be held responsible for movement in your furniture caused by exposure to extremes of temperature, such as next to a radiator, in a conservatory or exposed to direct sunlight or by an unnaturally dry atmosphere caused by under-floor heating.

Product Finishes and Colours The colour of the wax and oil finishes of our products may vary from that shown on this website due to limitations of browser software and monitors.

Our products are either manufactured out of 'Seasoned Oak' or 'Green Oak'. 'Green Oak' refers to products that are manufactured out of partially unseasoned timber. Over a period of years the oak will develop splits, cracks and checking as it seasons, adding to its naturally beauty, character and uniqueness. We do not accept any returns based on the natural character or appearance of the wood from seasoning. We recommend that unseasoned products are not placed directly on rugs or carpets as they release moisture over time and there is a risk of staining.

We cannot offer any guarantees or refunds for furniture that has been damaged due to exposure to sunlight or changes in temperature, furniture that has been dismantled, damaged in transit or warped due to uneven floors after the customer has taken receipt of the goods. Care has been taken to ensure that all dimension on this website are as accurate as possible. When furniture has been ordered at different times, we cannot guarantee to match fabrics or other materials.

Cancellation of Orders

An order can be cancelled up to 7 days from the point of order for a full refund. Orders cancelled 7 days after point of order will be subject to a 50% refund of the payment placed. Due to the bespoke nature of our business and because our furniture is made entirely to your specifications and not from stock, once this cancellation period has elapsed it will not be possible to cancel the order or return the furniture after delivery

Liability You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the Conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this Website, or the use by any other person accessing the Website using your shopping account and/or your Personal Information.

We reserve the right to: modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this Website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the Website; and/or change the Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the Website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Conditions have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the Conditions then you must immediately stop using the Website.

We make no warranty that the Website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the Website. We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the Website. You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising from your use of this website.

To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, we disclaim any and all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the Products. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

We will not be liable, in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence), pre-contract or other representations (other than fraudulent or negligent misrepresentations) or otherwise out of or in connection with the

Conditions for: -any economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings); or -any loss of goodwill or reputation; or -any special or indirect losses suffered or incurred by that party arising out of or in connection with the provisions of any matter under the Conditions.

The material and content contained within the Website is made available for your personal non-commercial use only and that you may (if necessary to make a Purchase) download such material and content for such purpose. You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised by us. Any other use of the material and content of the Website is strictly prohibited. By accessing our website you agree not to (and agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content.

Simply Rustic Oak makes no representation that this site or its contents are appropriate or available for use in any locations outside the United Kingdom. Those who choose to access the site from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

Confidentiality Customer details are not passed to third parties and are only used in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Law The Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Consumer Rights None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
